Structure Fire - 2005 Boucherie Rd.
September 14, 2008

At approximately 10:45 crews were called to a garage fire. The fire was extinguished prior to the fire department's arrival, due to the quick actions of the homeowner. If left unnoticed the fire could have spread quickly and caused much more damage. A plastic bucket containing ashes from a campfire the night before was next to the garage. The smouldering remains generated enough heat to ignite the vinyl siding.

Please remember: when disposing of ashes wet them down and put them in a metal container with a lid.
